My Lover
Spoiler alert: She’s my F-14.
Liner Notes
About the song
"A man has only one virginity to lose in fighters, and if it is a lovely plane he loses it to, there his heart will ever be."
“My Lover” is the third track on Left Alone, a love song wearing a flight jacket and carrying a little more thrust than it probably should, but — then again — "Speed is Life".
Every fighter pilot has that one temptress they never really stop thinking about. Sometimes the line between admiration and love gets a little blurry.
Mine is the supersonic, two-place, twin-engine, swing-wing, air-superiority fighter designed and manufactured by Grumman Aerospace Corporation. Anytime, Baby!
Mission: FLYBY. “My Lover” brings a low pass by the boat from stern to bow because some loves are not explained so much as they are felt in your chest when they go by at the speed of heat.
