Twenty years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Commander, driving the F-14 Tomcat and a few others too. The experiences were extraordinary, and the people, places, and stories are what continue to influence me. Husband. Girl dad. Best job I ever had. Of all the stuff scattered across this website, this is the part that matters most. They inspire me every day — so much so that I wrote a song about it, called “Bein’ Your Dad”.
After the Navy, I wrangled another career in cybersecurity, working to protect things worth protecting — from the electric grid, to oil and gas pipelines, to hospitals and more. If you really want the résumé version, LinkedIn has it here.
I’ve always been a storyteller. I’ve even played a few chords on a guitar and sung songs with the almost-century-old Red Ripper Band. And all the music I dream up has a human voice in mind. Now technology lets me turn the songs and stories rattling around in my head into something you can actually hear—and hopefully enjoy as much as I have. Doing that has been incredibly fun.
