Rent Free

Some people move out and still keep the keys to your heart.

Liner Notes

About the song

“Rent Free” came straight from another me in the multiverse. One who frakked everything up somehow and knows it.

Yeah. I've read my share of SciFi and seen some shows like that. Not quite looking over my shoulder for an alternate me to usurp my place.

But more than any other song on this album, “Rent Free” led to the need for “Heaven’s Gate” to put some hope for a better future back in the cards.

Mission: HVACAP. High Value Asset Combat Air Patrol. Ready to defend something of true importance... even if the thing you were supposed to defend left a long time ago.

Ask Paddles

“Paddles” are Landing Signal Officers — Naval Aviators who help bring aircraft safely aboard the carrier. The nickname comes from the visual paddles used long ago to guide pilots on final approach.

Day or night, in all weather, they stand watch at the back of the boat to bring their fellow aviators home. And because every carrier landing matters, every pass gets graded.

Paddles are the rush chairmen of the Fleet: part safety officer, part coach, part morale engine. They keep standards high, spirits up, and sometimes have to deliver harsh news.

Don’t take trash, Paddles.
